IT Help Guide: Printing FAQs

What to do if you have a printing error

The best thing to do if you have any sort of printing error is approach the staff on the library desk in your campus library.

Some common FAQs:

Q: How much print credit do I start out with?

When you start your course, if you have a tmc card you'll start with £5, if you have a ucen card you'll start with £10.

Q: I pressed print but nothing came out, what should I do?

A: Usually this means you don't have enough printer credit to print off your document - come to the desk and the library staff will help you rectify this.

Q: Can I still print if I don't have my student card?

A: Yes, you will need to use the 'Alternate Login' button on the home screen of the printer and log in using the same credentials you used to log in to a computer - your full student email and your password.

Q: How do I add more credits to my print account?

A: You will do this at the library desk, just ask a member of staff and they will be able to help you.
