eBooks: Download eBooks

Many of our eBooks can be downloaded to a computer, tablet or mobile device so that they can be read without a connection to the internet. If you have an internet connection, you can read eBooks online without having to download them.

Please note that to download eBooks:

• You will need to sign in to your account.
• You may need to install Adobe Digital Editions or Bluefire reader

How do I download an eBook?

1. Click the  button beneath the eBook you would like to download. 

2. Check how long you can download the eBook for and confirm that you have Adobe Digital Editions or equivalent reader software installed.

Please note: For some titles, you may see the option to select either the PDF or ePub format for an eBook. 

3. Click the Download button and open or save the file. 

For Mac and PC

To download eBooks onto your computer, you may need to install Adobe Digital Editions. If this is the case, a message will appear asking you to confirm "I have Adobe Digital Editions or equivalent installed". 

To install Adobe Digital Editions go to http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-editions/download.html

For tablets and mobile devices

To download eBooks onto your phone or tablet, you may need to install Bluefire Reader. If this is the case, a message will prompt you to do so.

To install Bluefire reader, visit the App Store or Google Play:

If you want to download an entire eBook you will need to sign in to your account. 

Please note: You do not need to sign in or install any software to read the eBook online, or to download a section from it. 

To sign in, click the blue "Sign In / Create Account" link, then sign in with your college username and password. Click here for help.
