a-n (The Artists Information Company): User Guide

a-n is aimed at practicing artists and is the largest artists’ membership organisation in the UK. The site provides access to the archive of a-n magazine and full text reports. It also has reviews, job opportunities and final year student blogs. a-n’s news platform provides freely available visual arts news.

To gain full access to a-n click on "login" in the top right of the website. 

Choose "Login via your host institution" and type "The Manchester College". If you are asked to sign into your organizational account use your student/staff email address and network password.

a-n is a great website to browse through by using the menu at the top of the page. To search the website enter a keyword in the Explore search bar. Here is an example of the results generated for the keyword "sculpture":
