Supporting IT skills
The library is the frontline service for IT problems regarding our students, everyday we are helping them learn the basic IT skills needed such as:
Print layouts / Producing documents / Printing / Email / Saving work.
As well as helping with:
Password resets / WiFi issues / MyDay / Access from home.
High Needs IT equipment
The library is proud to work along side the Supported Learning Department by storing and issuing IT equipment for learners with high needs.
The equipment can be found at Northenden, Openshaw FE and Shena Simons libraries.
You will have to fill out the form attached as well as getting confirmation from an ALS manager.

Students are given a starting credit for printing and copying, scanning is free. Once their credit runs out they can pay for extra credits at the library desk or online.
Please note: You will need to register again if you get a new ID card.
Did you know your learners can download Microsoft Office for free?
Providing all current students with free access to the latest Microsoft Office 365 package:
Available on up to five devices, including PC/Mac, tablet and mobile. You also get a personal cloud storage space through Microsoft OneDrive.

Use college WiFi on your personal laptops or mobile devices.
Go to WiFi settings and choose TMC
Sign in with:
Username = firstname.lastname@example.org
Password = usual college password
Struggling for computer space?
Pre book computer slots for your students to use our computers. There is no time limit for the booking but make sure students have regular breaks.
Need them for a few weeks?
You can ask for a reoccurring booking subject to availability and can only book one term at a time.
Please note: tutors
must stay with their class the full duration of the booking.
Booked on first come, first served basis.
