Reading for Pleasure: World Book Day for Families and Children

World Book Day for Families and Children

World Book Day for Families

“Reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator for success in life, more than family circumstances, educational background, or income” (Organisation for Economic Co-operation & Development).

Just ten minutes of reading a day makes a HUGE difference to our children. It encourages a love of reading and is a great opportunity for children and parents to bond over a good book. By also taking part in World Book Day, your love of reading will help every child in the UK and Ireland to own a book of their very own – everybody wins!

You can read a whole book in ten minutes or you can read part of a book in ten minutes, it doesn’t matter, as long as you are enjoying your book. Here are some great books for families, ranging from nursery age, through primary all the way to secondary.
