Printing Guide: Printing from Word and PowerPoint

Printing in Colour

Please note although it seems to have selected "Color", unless you untick the conversion box in the settings, your document will print in black and white.

This box can be found in the "Printer Preferences" link. This will open a dialogue box and then allow you to go to the "Image Options" tab and uncheck a box which says "Xerox black and white conversion". Unticking this box will allow you to print in colour.

The large button showing a printer will be the final button you press once you're sure that your settings are correct. This is the print button.

The amount of copies can be changed next to the print button.

The printer selected should be named Xeroxprintqueue on fpcdre1.

The drop down box that says Full Page Slides can be used to add slide notes to be printed, as well as adding multiple slides to be printed on one page.

Print on Both Sides allows you to choose whether to print double-sided or single-sided, as well as whether the double-sided print is flipped on the long side or the short end.

No Staples allows you to add staples in the printer.

Color will not affect whether or not a document prints in colour (unless you are working from a mac, as everything is printed in colour automatically.) Printing in colour is addressed on the next tab.
