Reading List

Information for your course is in your Moodle area.

Log in to Moodle with your Manchester College email address and password. Ask your tutor if you are unsure of where to look.

Where to Find Books

Most of the books for Cabin Crew are at our Harpurhey and Wythenshawe Libraries. To find a specific book ask a Librarian or check the library catalogue. The classmark tells you where the book is on the shelf.

Borrowing Books

How can I borrow items?

You can borrow from any college library. Bring the items to the library desk with your college ID card and we will stamp the return date on the date label.

How long can I borrow items for?

The date label inside the book will tell you. Usually 21 days for books, 7 days for dvds.

What if I need the book for longer?

You can renew your books in person, by telephone or by logging into the library catalogue, as long as they have not been reserved for another user.

You will not be able to borrow or renew your books if they are reserved, overdue or you have a fine.

Can't Find the Book You Want?

Is the book you want out on loan? Ask us to keep it for you when it is returned. You can reserve online too - search for the book in the library catalogue, log in and click Reserve.

Is the book you want at another library site? Ask us to have it sent to your campus library for you to collect, usually the next day. Or borrow it yourself from the other library, just remember to take your student ID card.

Do you know of a good book that we don't have? Contact your Subject Support Librarian. If we like it too, we may order it and then let you know when it arrives.
